The Nook is a charming, rustic, off-grid waterfront retreat located in Prince Edward County. Designed for a maximum of two people, the Nook is perfect for singles or couples seeking to be enveloped by nature. While just ten minutes from Picton, once you’re at the Nook, you’ll feel a million miles from anywhere.

What to Expect
Stroll in the forest, have a bonfire or dive into a novel in the claw-foot bathtub. Swim in the clear water off your own private waterfront. Enjoy spectacular sunsets and star-filled skies.
Experience the simplicity of off-grid living:
- Fully equipped kitchen with a propane-powered fridge and freezer, stove, oven and lights
- Propane barbeque on the deck
- A small, quiet generator runs the water system and powers the outlets for use in charging your phone
- Pantry staples and toiletries are provided
- Seasonal provisions (beeswax candles, local preserves, teas, etc.) available for a modest fee.
The Nook is most suitable for 2 adults (although good dogs are welcome, with permission). Children, parrots, and diesel trucks are not welcome….just kidding. Linens are supplied, however if you bring your own bed linens and towels you will receive a $15 discount on your stay.

Where is The Nook?
The Nook is nestled in the heart of charming Prince Edward County. Although you will enjoy your own private waterfront with a sandy, pebbled beach on the Adolphus Reach, you can also discover nearby secluded beaches, including Sandbanks Provincial Park and Point Petre.
Prince Edward County boasts numerous wineries, breweries, and farm-fresh food stands. The Nook is close to Vicki’s Veggies, the Black River Cheese Company, Fifth Town Cheese, County Cider, and Devil’s Wishbone Winery. If you prefer to eat out rather than dine in, there are numerous pubs, inns and restaurants all within a fifteen-minute drive from The Nook, including Lake on the Mountain.
